About Tape Op. As any company grows and becomes more corporate, they have more investors they are expected to please. Plus, as things get a bit more cushy. As people who have worked hard for next to nothing start feeling the benefits of sales, they tend to forget why people bought their rag in the first place. I know they claim to be expanding with the market and are trying to avoid redundancy but when you have too many of the same guys writing for the mag you are bound to be seeing things thru their worlds. They need to keep things a bit more balanced. They say if you send in an interview with decent pictures that is written well they will give it serious consideration. I wonder how true that is? How related to record sales and modern equipment it is?
I'm sure they want a piece of the big magazines pie but they either need to keep things on a more creative and home recording level or someone else will come out with a new magazine that will focus on that market.
PS. I still haven't received my new issue this month but I saw it at a local store that carries it. Wonder what's up!
