There's a reason why vinyl is still being produced, as well as why the Technics 1200s are still on the market. It's the same reason why Guitarists still play Fender Strats, and Studio Engineers still record on tape: it's all about the vibe.

If you're in any type of serious Underground scene, then you can ONLY go with Vinyl. I've watched so called "DJs" show up at little local dives with their Ipods and get booed out of the bar. It's not like there wasn't any DJ CD players 10-20 years ago. The Scene is all about the vinyl, if you're for real. If you want to play the newest Black Eyed Peas, and follow it with the new Jessica Simpson, then MP3s and Ipods are for you. If you've got a test press of DJ Sneak from 1998, and you're mixing into some Roy Davis Jr circa 2002, well, you get my point.
