Yeah I agree with all that, but the times when I need them the most, I dont wear them.
When I drum, any and all plugs that I have tried mess severly with the attack that I hear. When I'm wearing plugs and playing, it just doesn't feel right. I've heard that eventually you get used to it and adjust, but I have not experienced that yet. As an engineer I realize the danger and stupidity of not wearing plugs, ( I mean come on this is my livelyhood). but to be honest I dont like it and I never have.
