I made a great playlist at home of some of the best covers I've ever heard. On that list:

Failure- Enjoy The Silence (Depeche Mode) (AMAZING)
Deftones- No Ordinary Love (Sade)
The Darkness- Street Spirit (Radiohead)
Local H- Toxic (Britney Spears)
Smashing Pumpkins- You're All I've Got Tonight (The Cars)
1000 Homo DJs- Supernaut (Black Sabbath)
Helmet- Army Of Me (Bjork)
The Dandy Warhols- Hells Bells (AC/DC)
Nine Inch Nails- Metal (Gary Numan)
Living Color- Back In Black (AC/DC)
MonoStar- Teardrop (Massive Attack)
Nirvana- The Man Who Sold The World (David Bowie) (I can't stand Nirvana, but this is a great cover)

And the ones that didn't quite make it (i.e. they friggin SUCK):

Sheryl Crow- Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses)
A Perfect Circle- Imagine (John Lennon) (AWFUL)
Lenny Kravitz- American Woman (Bachman Turner Overdrive)
Nina Gordon (Ex-Veruca Salt)- Straight Outta Compton (N.W.A.)
Orgy- Blue Monday (New Order) (This just makes me sad whenever I hear it)
The Blank Theory- Sour Times (Portishead)

Also, whoever the nu-metal band that did the cover of Phil Collin's "In The Air Tonight" needs to be dragged outside and shot.

That's all for now.
