keyboard amps
hello all,
so, normally when i perform, i just use the house monitors to hear myself. but unfortunately, no matter how many times i tell the sound guy i need more of myself in the monitors, they often seem not to comply. soo, i've been thinking about getting a keyboard amp, so i can have more control over my onstage mix. the problem is that we don't really have more room in the van for a keyboard amp. soo, since i also play bass in my group, i was thinking about running my sansamp di (which i use as my bass pre anyways into my bass amp) and my electronics mixer into a single keyboard amp (giving the sound guy individual outputs from each as well).... eliminating my bass amp. the fear i have is that i won't be able to find a keyboard amp that has enough power... since i'd like to try to to find a combo, but i guess if I have to i could go with separate cabinets and power amps and basically get a single PA speaker, etc... but that seems like a pain.
so, i guess my question is, do any of you have any recommendations for a powerful keyboard amp that can handle both low frequencies well enough to be heard above a loud drummer, and still have headroom for synths, etc. on top (there are times when i play both synths and bass simultaneously... so i need headroom). there's the alesis sumo which has 300 watts w/ a 15-inch speaker, but even that seems like it might not be enough... and alesis stuff is usually crap in my opinion... but maybe i'm wrong. The motion sound amps look awesome, but they top out at 200 watts and a 2x10 cab.
suggestions?
