As someone said before, plywood over particle board. If it's heavy, it's probably better
Marshall 1960a, etc should have a tight seal. For example, if you try to take the back plate off, and it is work to get out, that's a good seal. Also, there's a brace that goes from front to back, this should be SNUG as it relates to the vibration of the cabinet.
Other good sounding cabs, mesa boogie, Orange makes some of the best I've ever heard (again comes back to construction, those cabs have 2" of wood around them)
Also, if you're thinking 4x12 cab, angled vs straight has an effect on the tone in the room.
