Just to bring this full circle Tom Petty took the main melody from Sweet Home Alabama from Skynnyrd slowed it down a bit and did Let's Dance With Mary Jane based on the main riff on that Skynnyrd song. One can go around in circles al day finding out who ripped off who but as long as the song is good it really shouldn't matter. The new Peppers song is still highly average sounding I mean forget the point of them plagiarizing, the song just plain reeks of adequacy and not having anything exceptional going on.
