I guess it doesn't hurt to have battery power available, but I'd rather sacrifice that in favor of a price cut (assuming I were going to buy an MPC, which is pretty unlikely anyway).

you can also use it to make beats on your private jet......if you are kanye at least. but it would just be better to keep your mpc at home and take a small portable recording device with you (like a mini disc or mp3/wave recorder); at least you won't feel as bad if you broke it instead.
