This one comes to us from Behringer:
Charity for Terminally ILL ARTISTES
BID On George Lynch's Autographed
EURODESK MX9000
BluesAid, a charitable organization that aides artistes whose ability to perform has been impacted by a terminal illness, will be auctioning George Lynch’s autographed BEHRINGER MX9000 studio recording console. Lynch, the founder of the band Lynch Mob and formerly guitarist of Dokken, is known worldwide as one of the most talented rock guitarists on the planet. The auction is the culmination of the 2006 Arkansas Heritage & Blues Festival (formerly known as King Biscuit Blues Festival) in Helena, Arkansas, which has an estimated attendance of 80,000 people.
Lynch used this console to record his limited release CD Lynch Mob Live at the Key Club in April 2003. The MX9000 recording console is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from George Lynch and an autographed copy of Lynch Mob Live at the Key Club. In addition to Lynch’s recording console, BEHRINGER is donating two iAXE393 USB-Guitars to BluesAid which will be autographed by various artistes performing at the 2006 Arkansas Heritage & Blues Festival and then auctioned for the charity.
The auction runs October 7th through October 15th, and will be held online through MissionFish, the charity wing of eBay. All the proceeds will go directly to BluesAid, a non profit organization.
BluesAid, an organization born twenty years ago from the historical King Biscuit Blues Festival, provides financial assistance to legendary blues artistes for medical expenses. BluesAid also documents the lives of these artistes and shares their stories with their fans, thereby educating the fans about the importance of both the artistes' music and their health issues.
