I believe you're correct. Most mp3 accessories either have the white glossy finish associated with iPods, mention in passing something like iSofa ... iSpeakers which is iRelated to an iPod , or have some passing mention of something resembling an iPod. I don't think most manufacturers solely focus on iPods though. I see a bunch of cheapy speaker docks or accessories which appear more to function as one-size-fits all mp3 players.

Anyways, huge marketing blitzes, tie ins with computer hardware/OSes/Programs makes it be the big gorilla in the room whenever someone mentions popular culture. Which is why I see Microsoft is attempting to create a competitor in Zune.
