Ok. Lots of people have done these.

For mine I:
- took out the second internal screen
-ditched those hf boosters, The plastic white things around the diapragm.
- I also put some hard foam in a cone shape around the base of the diapraghm
-put some weather stripping foam and epoxy in the casing
-covered the outside of the mic body with denim

this was very successful for me. The mic no longer sounds tinny, but melow and the wierd resonant caracteristics are gone.
