yea totally... big labels throw and burn a ton of money at/on inconsequential expenses. spending all that money does not guarantee a return investment. in fact, most often, they are spending YOUR money, and they bill you for it. it will be in your contract. They are spending YOUR money! and if your record doesnt sell multi platinum, guess who will be in massive debt? YOU!

I have read countless articles on bands who wish they never got signed, for this very reason... If you do sign with a big label, hire a lawyer, a GOOD lawyer, and have him ammend the contract to your benefit, and if the label wont allow you to ammend the contract, dont sign it. A big label contract can be the answer to your life's dream, but if not professionally reviewed and adjusted, it can also be your worst nightmare...
