Sounds like they pack a lot of new features upgraded pre's & eq's I mean if your running live sound they have the HP filter comes in handy for protecting the HF drivers also comps built in. I know that I loved they're FX unit back in the late 80's and early 90's if they're anything like those bad boys of yesterdays. I say probably a good upgrade I haven't tried one out yet. Depending where your buying most will let you return it if you don't like it. Give a shot I think you'll be happy I know Yamies always made decent gear and let us know how you like it.
