I have set my self on a quest to get as close to the pink floyd tone from pulse as possible.
I believe that gilmore used a strat with Dg20 emg's and a custom 100 Hiwatt to get the backbone of his sound.
Well the Hiwatt is waaaay out of my budget.
I was considering a fender blues junior with possibly a celestion vintage 30 driver instead of the stock one as iv read many reviews sayin that it gives more warmth and bass defition to the amp while maintaining the highs.
In you opinion would this be a good amp to build that sort of tone upon, i dnt have a really big budget for the amp, i dnt really want a billion settings and ten thousand knobs
all im interested in is just a decent tube amp with 1 good clean channel. My Biggest concern is that the amp isn't as 'dark' sounding as id like it to be, but it has got warmth and good treble, maybe a little bit harsh but im thinking the speaker will fix it :/
So, what r your opinions on the matter, do you reckon it would be a good move or i should be better off getting something else instead??
