Default help required for a music tech test

hey guys, this is my first post, i am in need of a bit of help for a college test i have tomorrow.
it's a basic studio test but i haven't been to the studio so i was wondering if anybody here could help me with some answers or point me in the direction of any sites that could help?

the questions cover:

•loading a tape onto a basic reel-to-reel.

•describing the correct procedure for powering up a studio.

•recognising different microphones and the need for phantom power.

•connecting and routing a signal from the live room to the multi-track with a monitor feed.

•describing when to use an insert point or an auxiliary send/return loop.

•routing the signal to a processing device and into a return channel using the patch bay.

I know its a bit of a tall order, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Joe
