Sup Guys,
I have a guitar that I absolutely love. Now it needs some fret work and a few things here and there. The problem is I have no idea who to take it to and I'm really scared of just dropping it off anywhere. I live in O-town, FL so if anyone has recommendations please post! There's also a Guitar Center near here...could I trust GC ? Last edited by dolivas; 05-01-2007 at 12:48 PM. Reason: thread was getting spammed due to those words |

yeah for sure, take the time to find "a guy" It's like having a good mechanic or a good babysitter or something. Ask around or find a specialty shop where all the guys play guitar and see where they send thier stuff too.

Yea, referrals are always the best. Bad news travels fast, and a crappy shop will have a bad rep. If you trust your friend, and they have played for a while, they probably know of a good place to check out. Don't judge by price alone; if the place charges an arm and a leg for something, that still doesn't mean they know what they are doing - quality work doesn't necessarily have to be at a premium price. I have a friend that does a great set-up for a 6-pack. |
