My goodness is there anything a penguin cant do (except fly)? I have to get one of these!

May sound like a stupid question but, I just have a few glasses of water sitting out, and never had a problem with warpage or bows or cracking, doesn't letting a glass of water sit out do the exact same thing as a humidifier but to a lesser extent?

Luke, if it doesn't come out of a penguin, I want NOTHING to do with it.

Is there a device that does both humidify and de-humidify? It's pouring out now and my basement is surely getting way damper than normal.

There are little pots that you can set out that gather moisture in the air. When I lived in Australia there was a big mold problem, so we had these things sitting out all over the house. Worked very well, kind of an eyesore though.

a much much lesser extent. stagnant water doesnt really evaporate very fast. it needs moving air and some way of getting into the air. stagnate water will mold before it evaporates, but if some water hatin aliens come over your all set!

along this angle, not humidifier, but care... I have an old acoustic (my first guitar) whose top is starting to "pull up" because of string tension, etc. This may also have something to do with what looks like a previous owner may have put a new nut on it. so action is high, and gets significantly higher along the neck towards the sound hole.
Anybody got any ideas? Suggested heights, maybe ideas of where to find a new nut?
Should I lower the string gauge?
