Default I need a super guitar-tech

I have an early thirties gibson LL-00. this sweet baby is a very light, delta-blues style guitar. most of these guitars were destroyed by heavy steel strings. The tension just made the guitar fall apart over time. The one I own had gut strings put on it a long time ago. This may be the only reason it is here today. There is a large crack on the back of the guitar, someone a long time ago tried to repair it, but i think they used glue or somthing they shouldnt have used. Long story short, I need a tech that can fix the crack and possibly refinish the guitar. The wood is very, very thin and requires much care, if anybody can point me in the right direction that would be sweet.

Try Todd Seefeld. I've heard great things from trusted friends.

Lightbulb

There is a legendary guitar tech from Athens Ohio named Dan Erlywine, he repairs, does set-ups, offers tips, has written books, etc. about guitar maintenance and all things six strings. He has made and repaired for the pros, including BB, Eric Clapton, and Dave Matthews. My friend had his guitar set up there and it was costly but it was much better than the day that he bought it new, "like butter". From what I understand the guy is the God of Guitar Repair. There is another dude named Neil Jacobs that is a 12 string performer specializing in Gypsy music. He has many old guitars that I have seen that have been repaired. I have done sound for him several times. He is cool and would probably respond to you with some advice if you emailed him. His website is www.neiljacobs.com, and you can google Mr. Erlywine I am sure.
