Default Ibanez VC70 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar

I've been looking at the Ibanez VC70 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar for a while now. The price is pretty low and I've been interested in trying something other than a dread. Has anyone had a chance to try one of these? I'm just wondering about it's tone, tuning, durability, the usuals. Any info out there?

Thumbs up

I personally have not had very much luck with old Ibanez acoustics, but I think they are alot better now. So for that price I would be a little weary, deffitely play it before you buy it.

Default grand concert guitars

im not familiar either with the Ibanez, but i do own a breedlove (grand) concert body style acoustic guitar, and youre right, it is cool to play an acoustic other than a dreadnaught. in my opinion, the concert is less booming than a dread, more subtle sounding, prettier tone... it is cool to record an acoustic song using both a concert and a dread for contrasting tones...

You know. I don't mind dealing with sharp fret edges, rough finish jobs, or even cheap parts on a guitar. All that really matters to me is that it stay in tune and can be played without giving your hands cramps from crazy action. A cheap guitar will have some corners cut. Just cut them in the right places.

i haven't played one, but it seems to be a good deal for the price. it isn't too expensive, so you won't be put out too much by it if it isn't good!
