Check out the Epiphone EJ200. You can get it with or without a cutaway. It's a great sounding jumbo that you should find under $400. It's just like the Gibson j200, but it's not! For the price difference, I would not complain. It has a rich, deep tone and sounds great with new strings.
I am curious about the Alvarez AJ60SC. It's a bit more $, but reads real nice.

I was about 10 seconds away from getting that EJ, guitar is absolutely smoking! Love the way it looks, one of the most beutiful acoustics I have ever seen, seriously. Gold hardware, quilted maple, moustasch bridge, getoutta ere'. Sound is pretty good, but the playability is better, very fun, rich guitar, great price point 8/10 on the davoscale.

hmmm that looks primo! ya ever play em side by side? i imagine the epiphone would have a darker tone? or maybe not. guild is a good guitar company. i heard Fender bought em though, i wonder if that affected their quality or sound. maybe all these lower end guitars sound about the same, but i guess there are good exceptions, even to the lower priced guitars...

The guild is the exception, while it may not look as sexy as the EJ, the sound will speak for itself. The tone is rather dark, as opposed to the maple on the EJ gives it a much brighter tone. So as I said before richness abounding... Guild, the players guitar. man they should sign me on to do slogans for them.

yes, guild was bought out by fender....but i haven't heard weather or not it's affected the quality of their guitars. i'm just upset that i can't find these guild jazz pics that i always used to use anymore.
