I missed the whole show (Lost and Invasion were on!) but the bits I saw were interesting. U2 and Mary J sounded good. Yesterday being blended with a hip-hop vibe just didn't do it for me for me. There are plenty of other Beatle songs that would work better with a guy saying "Yeah" or "Uh Huh, Uh Huh" every 4-8 bars. I've been hoping to see Sly Stone break out of seclusion for years only to be disappointed by him mumbling some of the lyrics, hitting some chords on the keyboard and walking off before the song was done. He did look great though. The mohawk was great. Highlight of the highlights!

I only saw the sly song. That was so ridiculously akward. There were two mics set up (one for vocals and one for talkbox) and he kept on singing into the wrong one. After he walked of the stage everybody just wanted it to end but the band just kept playing. Steven Tyler looked pissed. I don't blame him because every person on that stage looked like an idiot.
I'm betting if Sly doesn't go back into seclusion he is headed to the reality TV circuit. Any takers? |

The grammies are slowly going the way of network television, though if you have worked on a winning project you pretty much just added 2-3 zeros on yer paycheck just a nomination means no more mcdonalds during the day, but by no way is even a correct rep of the music most people enjoy.....wait critics would.....er i mean art school kids yeah thats is those guys and jerks like me

I can definately see Sly hitting up the Reality TV 3-ring. I was flipping through the channels and they had the grammy's highlights on Sports Center and the part I caught was them making fun of Sly looking like "an eel" haha. i laughed out loud...he kinda did look like he should have been in the movie Demolition Man.
