i'll tell you what a music "journalist" really is: a failed musician! do you honestly think that someone with so much bile and vitriol for artists isn't displaying some kind of transferance of anger and frustration onto their subject?

To their defense they are being paid to be critical and nasty.

and then there's the other side of that critic/music journalist coin, where they are fans of whom they r interviewing/reviewing, and its a big love fest with no hardball questions, no daring curveballs it reads more like a promo yawn...

I just awnser the dang questions in hope it will be the last one, but no matter how many time i pray to the interview god they find a way to make me sound like a surly son of !@#$ so i just run with it.

I prefer to just make up random lies that seem possible when being interviewed. With each question you can get a little more out there with a straight face. This is fun especially on tour. Later you can look back at the answers in each 'zine and have a good laugh. Maybe not the best thing to do if you are trying to build a fan base, but it's fun to do to people who are bad interviewers!
