Default lightning bolt's bass player

this guy's tone is awesome. anyone know what he uses? i saw them play about 9 months ago, but there were just way too many people to tell what he was using (they play on the floor and people just crowd aroudn them). all i remember seeing is what i think was a digitech whammy pedal.

that's a pic of the guy's effects rig.

Seems like he has a:
Boss OC-3 Octaver
Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive
Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive
Line 6 DL-4 Delay Multi Unit
Digitech Bass Whammy

pic of most of their other gear:

doesn't seem like a too shabby rig

that's an OC-2, not an OC-3. I know this because I'm a dork.

Also, I've got that pedal on my bass pedalboard as well.

The Ampeg SVT-2 Pro is a big part of that guy's sound, I believe. I saw them one time and it is a really huge sound.

Ha, I wish I could have seen that. I like DFA1979, though they seem like sort of an accessible pop version of the kind of thing that Lightning Bolt does.

I think DFA1979 are pretty poppy at their core, once you strip away all the fuzz tone. 'Blood On Our Hands' is nothing but catchy riffs and pop hooks.

no, but i hear brian gibson plays keyboard and laptop for them instead of bass. supposedly they take the stage in home made wizard costumes. it's supposed to be similar to lb.
