Default Hartke VXL Bass Attack Pedal and Direct Box

regarding the Hartke VXL Bass Attack Pedal and Direct Box, anybody have much luck with this pedal? it sounds like a great all in one for recording, any pluses or minuses i should know b4 i buy one?

It's a great pedal for getting tube like tones out of a solid state amp or for recording. If you're expecting total wall of sound bass distortion, look elsewhere. This is a real minor overdrive, but it sounds great.

I have to admit I do not like Hartke. They are owned by Samson, right? The only Samson I ever liked was the one in Half-Baked.
