Default Ampeg SVT210HE--anybody used it?

I've been using a Peavey 410TX rewired to 2 ohms as the cab for my Ampeg SVT-II for a while now, but I want a change. I think I have a line on a used SVT410HE, and for now I'll rewire the Peavey cab back to 8 ohms and use them both together with the head at 4 ohms. That would be some awesome, thundering bass, but I don't think I want to have to carry two 4x10s around whenever we have a gig. I'm considering ditching the Peavey in favor of the SVT210HE, so I'd have a nice stack of all matching cabs and six 10s pumping out the bass. I'm having trouble finding much info on the SVT210s, though. Has anybody gotten to play one?

I talked to a guy yesterday who couldn't stop raving about his SVT410, the one without the horn. He replaced a Behringer 410 with that SVT. He said the Behringer was 1000 watts, when the Ampeg is 400... but the Ampeg triumphantly smashed that Behringer into the ground with an iron fist.
Whoppysnort - did you get that cab?

Well, I don't really doubt that the Ampeg beat the Behringer soundly. As for me, I didn't manage to get the used 410HE, so I decided to go another route--I bit the bullet and bought the 410HLF (the ported one, with the extended low end). I'm glad it worked out this way, as it's a fantastic cab. It really does the amp a lot of justice, and this way I don't have to have multiple cabs to mess with.

I actually just acquired a used SVT210HE. It kicks ass. I've been playing it on top of a homemade 15" cabinet in parallel so the amp probably ends up seeing four ohms.

I've got an Ampeg SVT18E cabinet. 1x18" 8ohm cab. It's just sitting around my apartment, and as I'm not touring the world in a Prevost bus, putting that thing on top of my 4x10 cabinet would just be dumb. Who wants it?

Hmm I don't need an 18 either. That's heeyouge.

I Got my amp fixed! It has never sounded better either. Whatever happened dropped the noise floor significantly, which brings me to my point. The horn in this SVT cab sounds AMAZING. I had it all the way off before but man... MAN. I sat there giving my self hearing damage for a few hours because it felt so good. Response of nuances increased ten fold. If you haven't tried playing bass through something with a horn I'd highly reccomend giving it a shot.

I love the horn in my 410HLF. I like a nice, shiny, articulate bass sound, and it's tough to get that without a horn.

GearJunkie--how much you want for your 210?
