What's the best Bass Octave Pedal. I'm looking for one that can handle the low frequencies and doesn't give any delay or effect the sound adversely.

Yeah I saw that other thread, but I'm kind of looking for the best Octave pedal whether or not it has distortion.

Most of them that I have seen have both (oct/dis), the true octave pedal I would go with is the....
![]() Ampeg SCPOCT Scrambler Bass Octave Pedal, I have heard these are close to best without severly breaking the bank.

I can only tell you what I've used. I have a jimi hendrix ocatve pedal that totally does absolutely not what you are looking for. It completely annihilates the low end and distorts to Hell. Almost sounds broken to me. I've also got a Whammy II that squirrels and wiggles around the note you want to play, and delays your output by just enough to make you sound like you can't keep time.

Has any actually played the Ampeg SCPOCT Scrambler Bass Octave Pedal. Also how about that new Ashdown Bass Sub-Octave Plus Pedal. I haven't heard either of these and wondering how they compare.
