I used an Aguilar tube DI for bass, and had very good results, super accurate representation of the 4003 we used it on. They make some nice stuff, holds up nicely and is very consistant.

The aguilar 4x12 is 116 lbs but it has a built in dolly so it's not so bad unless you are going up stairs. Of course this is probably to heavy for one person but they also have single 12's and 2x12 so you can break up the weight if needed.

116lbs, that would be a stationary item in my book. 2x10 has my vote, perfect blend of functionality and umpf.
