Default Most efficient bass speakers

In my opinion Dave Eden is making the most efficient speaker cabinets out there.

i just picked up the 410xlt, i am blown away. it superceeded all of my expectations. I have used Ampeg, I have used SWR...The Eden produces everything I want to hear for each one of my basses better.

I like using the Eden cabinets for their definition and clarity. If I am playing in a band with loud stage volume, I still haven't found anything that beats an Ampeg SVT with a 15 and 4-10's. I use a SVT2pro head with power and pretubes (late 90's model). If it wasn't like moving a refrigerator, this would be perfect.

I might be using the word wrong, but to me this is part of the efficiency of Eden cabs.

Ampeg amps and cabs scream 'ROCK' to me, while Eden cabs sound a little smoother and more modern. I use one of the original SVT-IIs (the non-pro model) through one of the SVT410HLF cabs. It's very mid-rangey and aggressive, which isn't really the sound I associate with Eden.

On the other hand, my band opened for Mike Watt one time, and he was using an Eden full stack. He made it sound angry, growly, and intense. I guess you can get lots of different tones out of them.

I would have to say the best bass cab out there is the Aguilar 4x12. It has all the deffintion of an Eden cab with out coloring the tone. Eden changes the tone of a bass by adding super lows and super highs and Ampegs can get muddy. Aguilar can get the that super bass sound but you have to EQ to do it. It's basically sounds like your bass sounds and can handle anything you can give it.

It was back when we were living/playing in Iowa City. The guy who booked at the club where we played most often emailed us to see whether we'd be up for opening for him, and we enthusiastically said yes, of course. I guess the booking guy just liked us and thought we'd be a good match. They were nice guys--Mike was out in the van working on his blog while we played so he didn't get to hear us, but his organ player was standing on the side of the stage listening to us and he seemed to dig it. I think our Zappa and Sparks covers won him over. Mike looked at our drummer's DW kit and was like "hey, Stephen Perkins has a kit just like this one!"
