need opinions.
Set up #1: fender 5-string zone bass (active)->GK 700RB-II head-> GK 410SBX cab Set up #2: fender 5-string zone bass (active)->GK 700RB-II head-> GK 210SBX-II->GK 115SBX cab i play slap style and regular finger style. i play all sorts of music from low korn to high chili peppers. ....so in other words, i need the best that will sound great with the lows of an active 5-string bass, and the highs. thanks ps:the bass is already purchased, i just want opinions on what head/cab(s) combo i should buy |

i personally would recommend the 2x10, 1x15 route. you can get more frequency coverage, bi-amp your rig so you can dial in just the right amount of bass or midrange, and go at it.
2 smaller cabinets also mean two lightweight trips to the car and up the stairs vs. one very heavy trip to the car and up the stairs. PLEASE PEOPLE, STOP BUYING 8x10 CABINETS!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! |

thanks for the opinion.
i looked into getting the 1001RB-II head (700W@4ohm, 460@8ohm) with the 410SBX plus (800W either 8ohm or 4 ohm) would the increased power give me a better bottom end and high end? |

if it's biampable, yes. that way you can push certain frequencies towards the lower range speakers and certain frequencies towards higher end ones. a biampable bass rig is unstoppable. go for it.
