Does anyone know if it is only DW that requires a specific slightly smaller key?

Yeah it is weird. why would they do that? Turns out the Iron cobra uses the same sized key as the DW.

BAH! that key I have in fact did NOT fit the Iron cobra. This is insane.

Hmm, I've never noticed that on my drummer's DWs. I guess it's possible though. I actually have an Iron Cobra--next chance I get I'll take the drum key that came with it and see if it works on the drums. Of course, if I were him, I'd just put regular size tension rods on it to avoid the confusion.
I hate those dumb Sonor tension rods, although I guess it's not so bad to just be able to use a screwdriver. |
