you've had your UFO for a while now. what's the follow up review?
i'm thinking about getting a mimic delay. so i'm curious about their overall fidelity, build quality, your satisfaction level, the value, etc. ya know... the general wrapup. is there anything about the pedal you'd like to improve? i certainly know that after you've had a pedal for a while and you get settled into it, you're ear for it and opinion can change. |

The pedal is built very well. I used it at a gig last night in fact. It has a lot of gain and a really unique fuzz tone. I can't say anything bad about it.
If you haven't checked it out two versions of the mimic can be heard in this vid: http://www.gearwire.com/hbe-pedals-d...nter-namm.html |

yeah, i've checked out that video. my problem is that i don't necessarily have the most "traditional" settings on my delays... i'm looking into the mimic to have a shortish delay time but lots of repeats, like almost to the point of oscillation, so it becomes more of a very reverby very natural echo-y ambient type sound. the guy testing out the pedals in that video gets close to the settings i'd use towards the end of that demo, but it's tough to get a feel for how it would fit into my setting, as he mostly just does country/chicken picker type licks with it. the reason i was asking with your overall satisfaction is that i'm generally willing to take chances on pedals if the company is overall known to make good products.
