i've played a hondo that was made in japan; sounded great... but the action was a bit off (espically for having belonged to a guitar repair person for 15 years).

My first guitar was a Peavey Predator strat copy, and I still have it. For $240, I think it's pretty damn hard to beat, and made in the U.S.A. If I had the money and played strat-type guitars more often, I'd want a G&L, because those guitars are like butter. I'm more of Les Paul guy, though.

Default Levinson Blade

I Play a levinson blade strat. had it about 6 years. ive owned guitars by musicman, G&L, Gibson, Fender and all the other usual suspects but have never found anything that comes close to this!

only downside is they seem to be quite rare in the UK for some reason.

Definately a brand worth checking out IMO.
