Hi guys, I am new here.
Yesterday I tried the VOX AD50VT 212 at my local dealer, the thing rocked! The thing is, I don't know whether the sound was more from the amp or the 2x12" speakers. The 212 is way to big, heavy, expensive and loud for me, so I thought I try with the 30Watt type. The AD30VT was not in the store when I was there, (it will be in one week) does anybody know how the sound is, compared from 2x12" to 1x10"? Thanks for your help. |

Well, hi everybody, ok the threadname was silly, I wanted to change it into a question but dunno how.
Yesterday I was at the guitarstore (JustMusic) and I tried the VOX AD30VT and had a chance to compare it with the VOX AD50VT 212. With home settings (5watts or so) the 50-er version was much fuller, much better, don't know how to say this, but I guess it comes from 212 VS 110... you can't beat big speakers... If you can afford it you better buy the big version. I guess WYGIWYPF... but the 212 is not only more expensive and better, it is bigger and heavier. I wanted something small and lightweight, so I am fine with the 30watt version which I purchased yesterday. Don't get this the wrong way, the VOX AD30VT is a very good buy, both sound and price, but the other one sounds better. One thing both don't offer is a diamond-pattern textile speaker-cover like the legendary VOX AC30. But you can get it custom-made at the store for approx. 100€ extra with black cloth and red/white/green diamond-pattern. |
