Default Sound compare VOX AD50VT 212 VS. VOX AD30VT

Hi guys, I am new here.

Yesterday I tried the VOX AD50VT 212 at my local dealer,
the thing rocked! The thing is, I don't know whether the sound was
more from the amp or the 2x12" speakers.

The 212 is way to big, heavy, expensive and loud for me,
so I thought I try with the 30Watt type.
The AD30VT was not in the store when I was there, (it will be in one week)
does anybody know how the sound is, compared from 2x12" to 1x10"?

Thanks for your help.

Default

Well, hi everybody, ok the threadname was silly, I wanted to change it into a question but dunno how.

Yesterday I was at the guitarstore (JustMusic) and I tried the VOX AD30VT and had a chance to compare it with the VOX AD50VT 212.
With home settings (5watts or so) the 50-er version was much fuller,
much better, don't know how to say this, but I guess it comes from
212 VS 110... you can't beat big speakers...
If you can afford it you better buy the big version.
I guess WYGIWYPF... but the 212 is not only more expensive and better,
it is bigger and heavier. I wanted something small and lightweight,
so I am fine with the 30watt version which I purchased yesterday.
Don't get this the wrong way, the VOX AD30VT is a very good buy,
both sound and price, but the other one sounds better.

One thing both don't offer is a diamond-pattern textile speaker-cover
like the legendary VOX AC30. But you can get it custom-made at the store for
approx. 100€ extra with black cloth and red/white/green diamond-pattern.
