Distortion:
Badcat Hotcat 30 head with Badcat 2x12 cabinet
Bogner Shiva 30 2x10 combo
Marshall JMP 100 watt head with anniversary 4x12

Clean:
Ampeg VT-22 combo
Vox AC30 TB
Silvertone 1448 Twin Twelve
I definitely second the Badcat and the AC30.
One of those amps with a 60's ES335 Dot would be amazing.

I could go for an old AC30 or a 1963 brownface Fender Vibroverb.

As a side note, I'd love to stand in front of an old Marshall Major cranked, just once and see if I can deafen a crowd of onlookers.

I'm playing 335's anyway, and yes, it sounds like God with those guitars.

hmm, nothing specific.
Orange head and cab (old, w/ the crazy logos on the pots).
Hiwatt,
Bogner,
Old marshall, preferably 50 w JCM 800, JMP, etc,( mmm power tube distortion )
I once plugged a guitar into an old RCA all tube PA head (don't even ask how old it was) plugged into an Orange Cab (anything else would have been rattling). My God, talk about a feeling like you were holding some power.. I"ll see if I see I can get a pic.

Thumbs down

I'm gunna have to go with the Behringer Vtone I or II and the Ibanez Jumpstart. Man talk about value, and quality, you cannot find a guitar and amp anywhere for $100.
These things are great!!!

Out of curiosity was that RCA head and orange cab you played at Pogo Studios in Champaign?

I don't think I could be satisfied with any one amp for either clean or distortion to be honest, but an A/B setup with a Twin Reverb for cleans and a modded JMP or maybe a Mesa IIC+ for distortion would be rad.

yo Gearjunkie. That amp was one in the same. Have you rocked said RCA head?

I actually went looking for a pic at one time, found a bunch of links about "guitar amp" modding PA heads...interesting topic.
