my own personal choices:

Italia Mondial in Black:

ibanez does come with a warranty... Mondial SOL warranty (you know the acronyms) its a used guitar as well.

two shall enter. one shall survive.

i played a jet king, didn't like the frets. they felt sharp... or maybe it was my child-like hands.

that Mondial kicks all the ass within a 3 mile radius of it. I almost bought one of those a while back. buy that.

maybe you can answer this. but does the actual guitar look cool? just not like any standard guitar out there? I know, I know, I have a bad way of choosing my guitars based on look and not playability. Im just wondering if it looks cool or not.

I like the look. The string-through is cool at an angle like that.

The fret markers on the jet king are pretty killer too.

I've decided now. I got a great price on the Mondial that I can't pass up and all I got to do is try it out and buy it. Cheers, mates!

The Jet King does have sharp frets but for the price I forgive them. The split pickups are nice for the tone variety and it holds tune. And It looks cool.
The Italia Mondial looks super cool. It has a plastic like feel to the body but it looks super cool! The one I played stayed in tune thru my abuse and had a pawn shop tone. Both guitars are sweeeeet!!

First impressions on the Mondial. Just having tried it out this past Sunday and buying it as well. My god, it rocks! First of all it looks freakin cool. Second of all im digging the sorta feel it has, it's like a cross between an 335 and a LP-style guitar, you really do get a lot of tone options but the guitar actually sings when you play it even unplugged. The top is made out of some fiberglass plastic thing composite but it's not a bad looking composite and it really does project some great acoustics out of the guitar because of that. Having the two outputs jacks, one a piezo and one a line guitar, really makes your option open up with what you can do with it. All in all a great guitar for the price. Too bad I can't touch it again til X-mas!!

some noteable features:
Gotoh tuners which really keep the guitar in tune.
Wilkinson Pickups which sound deep rather than really harsh bright, they are beefy monsters.
Big ass straplocks so that you don't lose your strap and they won't fall off.
Really fast playing neck and soft neck, which I love, cause I myself has the wimpy fingers of a child as well.

I think that was a good choice. I played a Jetking once, and they do look cool, but I just wasn't very impressed by the feel or the sound. Seemed a bit average to me.
