Default Les Paul, meet ethernet cable

I'm waiting for the wifi-enabled version myself, but in the mean time I guess this will have to do. . .

But you can send the output from each string to a different amp!

That way you get to carry six amps to the gig!

What's lame about that!

and then you break a string and you're screwed out of a $900 tube combo for your high b string.

I repeat, LAME.

I have to agree that this is lame. I just don't get the selling point.

You can plug headphones into the guitar to monitor your playing? yawn.

You can have a really long cable? yawn.

You can run the ouput of each string to its own amp? Why?

Maybe we're missing something "revolutionary" but I don't see it. Not only that, but Lester himself is quiet on the issue.

maybe we'll see someone creative find a non-lame use for the technology. the true nature of genius is finding a soloution to a problem that does not yet exist, or exploiting an opportunity that others can't see.

It seems like legit technology, but sounds like it would be completely useless for your average guitarist. It says it transmits thirty two 24 bit channels of audio both ways simultaneous at 96kHz, over an ethernet cable.
