I actually wouldn't mind getting such a guitar. you can always pickup better pickups and better strings along the way to make it into a pro-guitar (what does pro even mean?) it would be a good deal for traveling musicians or experimental dudes who would find a way to trick out such a guitar.
The big downfall i imagine would be the a/d converters i imagine. If its going to be USB 1.1 out of a piss poor a/d converter then i imagine at the best we'll be gettting 16-bit 48khz conversion. It would be a unpro sound for most audiophiles I imagine but if you love music and don't care about such matters you can be wise enough to get the right programs and the right wizardry/trickery to do something cool with such a item more so if you're a laptop nerd. |
