Well since we are talking about danelectro, danagosto brings up another good point about how hard they have worked to make tons of pedals that are cheap and decent, from $20 -$35. I mean if they sound decent why not grab 4 pedals for what you'd ussually pay for one. Hmmmm substandard guitars or earn tons of money on pedals, I know what I'd choose.

the dan-o French Toast and the Fish and Chips i've heard nothing but good things about them. Plus if you're a little old school in their department id liked that talkbox they used to have, wasn't there a swamy sitar pedal as well? cool funky stuff.

french toast is the most underrated pedal going.
flick of one switch it's an octavia, turn the octave switch off and it'll give a big muff a run for it's money. Oh yeah, it only costs like $40 too. |

yea, i heard something about them going out of buisness multiple times over the years; and forgot why they stopped making guitars....i'll check on it though. i liked the sound of SOME of the danelectro guitars (particularly the one that robert schneider from apples in stereo played with 3 pickups); but their necks never felt that comfortable to me.

I was just trying out the French Toast. I really liked some of the things it did. The octave mode was not to my liking (I prefer the Dunlop Octave Fuzz) but the regular mode was pretty cool. Really heavy chugging possible. Better than the big muff for this in my opinion. Also with the right distortion and eq settings you can get really videogamey "8-bit fuzz" things happening. I think it is worth it just for that solo sound.
