Default Finally got my Strat shielded!

Well, it's not technically a Strat--it's a Peavey Predator. Same thing, pretty much. I had attempted to follow this advice for doing the shielding modification quite a while ago, but I couldn't get it right and I didn't bother figuring out what the problem was until now. It turns out I had forgotten a wire and reversed the leads coming from the jack so that it actually made MORE noise when I touched the strings. I was also getting some crackling from the internal components rubbing on the shielding, but some electrical tape solved that. Now, the thing sounds great and the Fender single coils in there barely hum any more than humbuckers do. I highly recommend this to anybody with a Strat with non hum-cancelling pickups in it.
