( That and cabinets ) I'm extremely stuborn on who I buy amps and guitars from; The only " Off brand " name I'll buy electrics from is a UK company named " Stagg ". As for Marshall making pedals... You'd have to make the price for me to by it unpassable for me to even consider putting my money on it. ( I'm probably one of the most pickiest buyers you'll ever meet. )

Orale (mexican expression word). Personally i don't care brands, if one pedal sounds good to me, and i the construction is strong i bought. I have some platic pedals, but i don't abuse of them, and works well for me.

This was my two cents.

by that rationale, fender makes guitars, always have... why should I buy an amp from them? Gibson makes mandolins, always have. Why should I buy a Les Paul from them?

Companies branch out, some of which have failures and others have great success. In terms of the Marshall pedals, they're built like a tank (have been since the 80's with the Shredmaster and pedals of that ilk), sound fantastic, and they just keep upgrading their stuff.

Just because a company makes product A shouldn't mean you shouldn't buy product B.

Yamaha makes freakin' motorcycles and drumkits. I rest my case.

Fender started out on making PA and amps actually, All through their history they have made BOTH guitar and amps. Understandable on the Gibson deal, But they're both stringed instruments. ( The F5 and Les Paul being the two biggest, Of course. ) And Yamaha... I don't like half of their products. And dude, Like I said. It's a bad habit of mine, I almost wish I didn't have it. Have I made exceptions? Of course I have. My favorite recording amp is the EpiVJ. But on several occasions i've bought a product that has a monopoly on one thing, And sucked on the branching product.
