i was just wondering what people thought of the marshall line of pedals out there, i haven't seen them all that often; nor have i heard anything pro or con. has anyone used them and know how they compare to the other brands?

i saw the echohead at namm and really liked it. it may actually replace my DD5 when it comes out. the other pedals are decent, but nothing's flipping my lid.

When I saw Cardiacs in 2003, lead guitarist Kavus Torabi was boosting a '70s JMP with a Guv'nor overdrive. His tone was great but I think it was probably mostly due to the JMP.

Jonny from Radiohead uses a Marshall Jackhammer. It's for those laser like solos on Paranoid Android and There There. Me approves He uses an older 80s pedal i believe though.

you're right! I completely dropped the ball on that too. shredmaster prices have gone up just because of him using it.

I love Jonny Greenwood, and that's an effective sound for him. I probably wouldn't get one because I don't play that style (though I have been influenced by Radiohead in other ways), but it works for him, for sure.

The only one of those pedals that I was impressed by was the echo. Actually some of the distortions were pretty good too, but not my thing.

I had the Supervibe Chorus for a while, is very good, but im not a chorus guy. I tried the Shredmaster of a friend and is one of the best distortion i use, great for grunge and noisy music.

Marshall makes amps and cabinets. ( More so heads than combos. ) I would any day buy a marshall head, But never buy one of their pedals. ( Or that power break of theirs. )
