I'm looking at getting another strat-type body and pickup kind of guitar. I stumbled upon this nifty looking Fernandes guitar:
![]() It's a limited edition HSS guitar with that cool, in my opinion of course, Sustainer pickup system. What that is is just two toggle switches which engage an infinite sustain on whatever chord(s) your playing. Sorta like an e-Bow or Frippertronic without the expensive doo-dads. Has anyone had any experience using such a system before? I haven't seen much feedback on these, I did see Fripp use his own LP-style guitar with that system and it seemed cool in theory. |

it's a great idea, but tough to turn on and off in time to do something else. it's great for recording situations, but somewhat of a pain in the ass otherwise.
