sparkledrive. much better built pedal, more usable tones, true bypass switching plus the ability to blend your clean signal into the tone.

I like the Sparkle Drive by far. Not only does it (in my opinion) have better tone, and the aforementioned true bypass, but everybody and their brother already has a TS9. A killer tone, but a tired one.

I absolutely love the Sparkledrive. The blend knob makes it an amazing pedal. I leave it on all the time, with the blend set at about half/way, giving you a clean when played quiet but dirty when played loud. I also use a tube screamer and turn that on when I want more distortion, with cascading gain structure you can get a wider variety of tones.
BUT!!! The one thing about the Sparkle drive that sucks is the freaking bypass switch goes bad. I know two other people that have the same problem with the pedal. Voodoo Labs must have had a bad batch of switches. It really sucks when you try to turn off your pedal and you get no signal from a bad switch.

Cool

A sweet pedal that's comparable to those two is the Barber Direct Drive or any of the Barber pedals for that matter. They are all true bypass as well.

Default hey now

yeah the sparkledrive is nice to be able to blend your tone, but nothing comes close to an original ts9. I have one that is older than I am and every time I plug it in, I listen to its rich wisdom. I think it really depends on what tone your going for, but for that classic distortion you cant beat an original ts9.
