Post how much is worth

Sorry this is not quite on topic: I am looking to find the best way to get a proper value of stuff being put on ebay.
Is the best way simply to look at "finished auctions" or are there services. These are both electronics and stuff I've had since childhood?

Default How to value ebay items

A couple resources are helpful...
  • If you are logged into ebay, you can do a search then choose "completed items" to see recent closes - this can be a very narrow set of data, and you have to eyeball for matches and confirm which items really closed
  • If you want to see a broader set of data, see http://www.prepal.com - this isn't necessarily up to date, and may include "false matches"

Neither is definitive, but between the two you can get a flavor for whether you are in the ballpark...

This isnt quite on the topic either, but for all the guitar/bass players- be very weary buying instruments on ebay. Although "off the line" guitars have gotten more consistant over the years, you never can know a guitar, until you play it. I do not recomend buying any guitar or bass off ebay- but for electronics- thats fine. I but a lot of amps and pedals off ebay and I have had genrally good expierences.
