Yea. Shouldn't holograms of cartoon characters be eating breakfast with me by now? And where's my jetpack? And the helmet that just downloads the songs in my head? Guess this is what happens when we live in a society that spends no money on education but plenty on war and old fuel ideas instead of forward thinking concepts that don't destroy the Earth as we know it.

Or when our government let's our international "competitors" steal the ideas without consequence:
"The FBI has recently announced that China represents the "greatest espionage threat" to this country over the next decade. Media stories about Chinese thefts of sensitive military technologies, commercial secrets and even proprietary corporate data are almost commonplace."

My friends and I firmly believe that jet packs hold the key to peace on Earth.

i just wish we spent less time debating darwin in our schools, and more time .....teaching science perhaps? china is surpassing us technologically, and they have the manpower and organization to implement change and overtake the states as the dominant super power. nano technology and gene therapy are around the corner, we should be concerned with their development and understanding it more than "liberation."
