Yep, but remember, humor and bad acting is a tradition in horror movies.

I liked Saw because it was gory, it had a cool story line, and the ending suprised me, which just doesnt happen anymore.

i'll agree that the ending was a good one; but i didn't think the camp fit in with the rest of the movie. plus house of a thousand corpses didn't help bolster my opinion of the genre.

Well House of 1000 Corpses was terrible, through and through.

i've heard nothing but good things about it; but i'm still not going out of my way to check it out. my friend totally burned me out on horror; and a ton of the movies didn't help.

I enjoyed Saw and Devils Rejects but where do you go from here for enjoyable gore? Besides '70's Italian horror (Dario Argento), check out Ichi The Killer. It's a gory, Yakuza film from Japan that has some of the best torture scenes you'll ever see! It seems that Japan has been exporting a lot of interesting horror these days. I'm drawing a blank on the name of the movie where they send a bunch of schoolkids to an island to kill each other. A last person alive leaves thing. It's a fun one. Someone help me with the title!

Salo was fantastic.

Did you know Coil wrote a song about Passolini? It's called Ostia (The Death Of Passolini) from the album Horse Rotorvator.

Audition messed me up for a few minutes. Which is saying a lot considering my pallette for gore. Vs. was pretty good except for the anime-esque dual at the end. Wild Zero was messed up and cheezie, but it has Guitar Wolf and zombies, and Guitar Wolf cuts a spaceship in half with a guitar that turns into a samurai sword. . . [/rant]
