Buying tobacco & papers is way cheaper, better tasting, and a lot less worse for you (still bad, just not nearly as bad).

That said, I haven't smoked in years.

i quit smoking during the week, and on the weekends, i have a few here and there, especially if i am imbibing in alchohol pleasures i guess i treat tobacco like alchohol kinda now, it's not a regular thing, but it sure tastes good on the weekends, and i'm not spending as much money heythose patches really work if yer serious bout quitting or cutting down...

when I started smokin back in 94 cigs were 2.25 in detroit and 1.75 in CT! when the prices started going up i made a deal with myslef that if they ever got over five bucks I would quit. it took a few tries, but i sucessfully quit cold turkey. there is no other way to do it. Patches, gum, and meds just prolong your addiction and make it harder to quit. I have a feeling that these "quit help aids" are probally made by the tobacco companies to keep you hooked on nicotine. I knew I had licked it once I got absolutely smashed and didnt smoke, this is the best test you can give yourself.

oh ya, the professor is correct, in fact, you can buy filter papers and a special cigarette loading machine for the filtered papersand save a ton of money, all in all, it works out to like $2 a pack, basically...

i agree drewsifer, but if peeps aint ready to quit, the next best thing is managing the addiction... i think its pretty cool i dont smoke during the week, i used to think:: either i smoke all the time, or none of the time, but there is a middle ground... and i am not chain smoking on the weekends either to compensate... i read recently that some doctors are permanently subscribing their smoking patients the patch indefinitely, because some people just cant quit, they are hard wired nicotine addicts! i hate that...
