Your not kidding, but that $499 price tag doesn't look that appetizing. Not for me anyway. I don't like taking out loans to buy a new phone.

seems like a very nice phone. woulda been killer if it was an open GSM phone so you could use with T-Mobile as well. hopefully pricing goes down.

Finally! Just what I've been looking for: something heavier, bigger, more costly and slower than my Palm Treo, with more finger smears and an OS that isn't really for a mobile device at all!

cant wait to pay $500 to beta test that phone until I drop it a few times and it breaks. wonder if the batteries will be replaceable...?

They'll be replaceable, but you will probably have to bring it to an apple store.
