Thumbs up Rayzoon Jamstix Group Buy

Rayzoon is running a Group Buy through May 13 on the Jamstix Jamboree Bundle, which includes the Jamstix plugin, all available Drum Paks, and a free upgrade to Jamstix v.2 when it is released (hopefully in a few months). List price is $139; if the Group Buy reaches full participation, the final price will be just $69. As of right now (April 26), the price is down to $118, and close to dropping to $111.

I'm in the Group Buy myself... I have not previously used Jamstix, but know of many people who have and are very satisfied! Check out the audio and video demos, they're pretty impressive. There's nothing else quite like it on the market.

I've been watching that group buy myself. I have heard good things about that program. I dl'ed the demo the otherday just to see if it does what it says it does. I will probably join the GB but have to wait a while due to financial constraints.

One week left! It's "only" down to $104 so far, but participation has been accelerating a bit over the last week. The more the merrier!

Default Maximum discount reached! 24 hours left.

We made it! $69 - 50% off the already-discounted bundle price, plus the free upgrade to v2. You've got about 24 hours to still get in!

Looks like the Group buy was extended to the end of this week (5/18) due to a large amount of buyers joining once the price hit $69. It's stated in their forums that there are over 300 in the buy now. I use Jamstix all the time, great product and excellent support (I reported a bug and in a few hours there was a new version available) Version 2 looks like it is going to be quite an Improvement on an already great product.

Peace

Default Big F$%#&^& Drums

Does the Jamstix VST perform up to par with some of the other ones? Have you guys tried BFD? Good job on the group buy people.

I've actually not had a chance to use any of them very much, but I can tell you that Jamstix is unique in its operation. You can use it just like a basic drum sampler, or a pattern-based drum machine, but what makes it special is its ability to jam along with you in a realistic manner - it can listen to audio or interpret MIDI and choose what and how to play. It's like working with a human drummer. Its "brain" also ensures that whatever it outputs is playable by a human - it knows it has two arms and two legs and plays accordingly.

As for the quality of the sounds, Jamstix seems quite decent, but it's probably not quite on a par with the mega-samplesets like BFD and DFH. However, it can also host a VSTi and use that for its sounds rather than its own, so it's the best of both worlds.
