On your electric doorbell you can open it and find the part in there which controls it's tuning. By putting you finger on it you should be able to change the pitch down. Like a whammy bar.

I think that would be a capacitor and you would be adding to its capacitance with your touch.

that reminds me of that failed pink floyd album using household objects to make music. they only did 2 tracks before giving up.

If you haven't heard us yet you should check it out http://factionofthefox.com The new beat I am working on started with a sample of Crass' "Punk is Dead". The new stuff is going to rock. Our first EP we sampled a ton of Paul Williams. Don't tell Paul Williams.
